★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lugar é extremamente lindo... Tirei essas fotos descendo a rampa da Estação. Ainda não tive a oportunidade de dar uma volta no local e conhecer melhor... Quando passo por ali para ir ao médico, vejo muitas pessoas caminhando... Lindo!!!
 Place is extremely beautiful... I took these pictures walking down the ramp from the Station. I still haven't had the opportunity to walk around the place and get to know it better... When I pass by to go to the doctor, I see many people walking... Beautiful!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Estacao gigante e com muita capacidade. Porém os banheiros dificilmente estão funcionando, as escadas rolantes também só funcionam exporadicamente. As entradas e saídas diretas para a Rua Arquias Cordeiro estão fechadas e isso obriga o passageiro a subir e descer uma rampa enorme.
Giant station and with a lot of capacity. However, the bathrooms are hardly functioning, the escalators also only work exporadically. The direct entrances and exits to Rua Arquias Cordeiro are closed and this forces the passenger to go up and down a huge ramp.

Foi inaugurada em 1873. No local se localizavam as oficinas da Central (depois RFFSA). Também está localizado nas cercanias o museu da Rede Ferroviária Federal, no qual se encontra a mais antiga locomotiva do Brasil, a Baroneza, que inaugurou a linha de Guia de Pacobaíba em 1854.
O terreno da estação também abrigava as oficinas da Central do Brasil. Muitas foram demolidas para a construção do estádio olímpico para o Panamericano de 2007. Sobraram dois ou três armazéns que ainda abrigam o museu da ferrovia, espremidos ao lado do estádio.[4].
A estação sofreu uma grande reforma para os Jogos Panamericanos, em 2007, contando inclusive com escadas rolantes. Desde então, se intitula Estação Olímpica do Engenho de Dentro. Em 24 de março de 2015, foi anunciada pela Supervia a expansão e reforma da estação visando às Olimpíadas do Rio 2016. O projeto consta com mais um mezanino, elevadores e áreas adaptadas para deficientes físicos. A conclusão está prevista para abril de 2016.

It was inaugurated in 1873. In the place were the workshops of the Central (later RFFSA). Also located in the vicinity is the Federal Railroad Museum, which houses the oldest locomotive in Brazil, Baroneza, which inaugurated the Guia Line of Pacobaíba in 1854.
The station land also housed the Central do Brasil workshops. Many were demolished for the construction of the Olympic stadium for the Panamerican of 2007. They left two or three warehouses that still house the museum of the railroad, squeezed next to the stadium.
The station underwent a major renovation for the Pan American Games in 2007, including escalators. Since then, it is denominated Olympic Station of Engenho de Dentro. On March 24, 2015, Supervia announced the expansion and refurbishment of the station for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The project consists of another mezzanine, elevators and areas adapted for the physically disabled. The conclusion is scheduled for April 2016.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Estação grande, bonita e com certa carga histórica. A estação é completamente coberta, o que é excelente para se proteger do sol quente, nas laterais é aberta e bem ventilada. Os diferentes ramais e plataforma ajudam na locomoção. Só o que falta - e acredito que esse problema seja comum em quase todas as estações de trem do RJ - é a falta de banheiros acessíveis.
Big, beautiful station with a certain historical load. The station is completely covered, which is great for protecting yourself from the hot sun, the sides is open and well ventilated. The different extensions and platform help in locomotion. All that is missing - and I believe that this problem is common in almost every train station in RJ - is the lack of accessible toilets.
