★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fondue is the thing to do here. It's very busy on the weekends and usually a line to get in. It's not cheap but the locals are crazy to fondue. They have many other dishes if fondue is not your thing....overall, I recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good local restaurant with a great range of traditional dishes but "a must try" delicious palmito (House special), eisebahn chopp and capirinha. I want to go back for their feijoada special on Fridays and Saturdays. On top of all a lovely ambiance, clean, very community orientated with great customer service. A real treasure of Rio. It is on the way of Parque Nacional da Tijuca next to Uruguai tube station. Wheelchair accessible, WiFi available, good toilets, air conditioning inside and nice veranda views.
