★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Slow service. We were waiting for pizza for 30 minutes. When we asked waiter why does it take so long, he answered that they have lots of orders, BUT the place was almost empty! Just 3 more tables except us! And… finally we got our pizza and it was not pizza at all!! Didn’t like it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Padaria Camões is a nice place, more where the locals meet, so more authentic, although it’s only some streets away of the busy Avenida Paulista. This place can lock back on a long history and can therefore also be seen as institution for Sao Paulo. I took a more local approach this time and ordered a Cafè com Leite (coffee with milk) together with a pastry filled with coconut cream, which I selected at the showcase before. To see in the first place what you get, in this case at the showcase, makes life so much easier. My Coconut-Cream-Pastry is a delicious pastry by the way, not to sweet, not to less, and with the simple Cafè com Leite just a perfect combination.
There are so many delicacies in the showcase in this very local Padaria not far from the fancy and crowded Avenida Paulista.
At Camões’ the waiters are friendly and willing to help and the interior has a charm of its own.
