O saudoso Padre Abdalla foi o principal líder religioso, durante a ditadura militar lutou lado a lado com os metalúrgicos por melhores condições na então siderúrgica estatal (antiga ACESITA, hoje Aperam).
Founded in the 1940s, the history of this parish is directly linked to the very history of Timothy. The late Padre Abdalla was the main religious leader, during the military dictatorship fought side by side with the metallurgists for better conditions in the then state steel mill (formerly ACESITA, today Aperam).

As missas aos domingos a noite são celebradas na área externa, o que se tornou uma tradição. Pelas manhãs do mesmo dia ocorre a missa das crianças que é caracterizada pela participação destas (nas leituras, recolhimento do ofertório...) o que a torna mais atrativa para os pequenos.
Atrás da atual igreja está sendo construída uma nova.
Traditional Catholic church in the city, old building, facing a square, in the commercial center of the city.
Sunday night masses are held outside, which has become a tradition. In the mornings of the same day, the children's mass takes place, which is characterized by their participation (in the readings, collection of the offertory...) which makes it more attractive for the little ones.
Behind the current church a new one is being built.
