De lá para cá passou por várias reformas e ampliação, numa das últimas, na década de 70, teve a participação do Frei Clemente da Costa Neves (in memoriam), de Jundiaí, que também contribuiu na reforma de outra igreja da cidade de Cabreúva, no bairro do Caí.
A Paróquia Nossa Senhora da Piedade conheci através das viagens a Pirapora do Bom Jesus, cidade-santuário e destino de romeiros, que nas rotas que adentram Cabreúva fazem parada também nesta igreja central. Embora tenha passado por várias reformas, é possível observar nos detalhes internos algumas imagens que nos remetem àquela época, que os olhos atentos dos turistas descobrirão.
Historic church, created through an imperial decree of 1830, as shown on a plaque fixed internally. Since then, it has undergone several renovations and expansion, in one of the last, in the 70s, it had the participation of Friar Clemente da Costa Neves (in memoriam), from Jundiaí, who also contributed to the renovation of another church in the city of Cabreúva, in the neighborhood of Cai.
I got to know the Nossa Senhora da Piedade Parish through trips to Pirapora do Bom Jesus, a sanctuary city and destination for pilgrims, who also stop at this central church on the routes that enter Cabreúva. Although it has gone through several renovations, it is possible to observe in the internal details some images that remind us of that time, which the attentive eyes of tourists will discover.
