★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A prefeitura faz evento no parque e depois mantém fechado, sem previsão de reabertura porque a empresa que organizou não tem data para retirar as estruturas usadas no evento. No mínimo, é uma situação ridícula.
The city hall holds an event in the park and then keeps it closed, with no forecast of reopening because the company that organized it has no date to remove the structures used in the event. At the very least, it's a ridiculous situation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O jesuíta José de Anchieta costumava ficar alojado no Forte São João, em Bertioga, e certa noite, foi levado de barco até a Ermida de Santo Antônio do Guaibê, para fazer suas orações. Como estava noite, o barqueiro sugeriu que Padre Anchieta ficasse com o candeeiro, mas o jesuíta responde que não precisava, e que o barqueiro voltasse para o Forte. Mais tarde, a esposa do barqueiro acordou com uma música e, ao abrir a janela da fortaleza, viu a Ermida toda iluminada.
A história recebeu o nome de “Milagre do Resplendor e Música no Céu”, popularmente conhecido como ‘Milagre das Luzes’ e é contata no livro “Vida de Padre José de Anchieta”, de Pero Rodrigues.
O parque dos Tupiniquins divide a mesma área e instalações do Forte São João, possue na área externa algumas esculturas em bronze de índios e do seu cotidiano e dos gesuitas e do padre Anchieta cayequisando os índios. Recomendo uma visitinha para você conferir melhor e aprender um pouco mais sobre a nossa história.
The Jesuit José de Anchieta used to stay at Fort São João, in Bertioga, and one night he was taken by boat to the Ermida de Santo Antônio do Guaibê to say his prayers. As it was night, the boatman suggested that Padre Anchieta keep the lamp, but the Jesuit replied that he did not need it, and that the boatman return to the Fort. Later, the boatman's wife woke up to music and, when she opened the fortress window, she saw the Chapel all lit up.
The story was called “Miracle of Resplendor and Music in Heaven”, popularly known as “Miracle of Lights”, and is contacted in the book “Life of Father José de Anchieta”, by Pero Rodrigues.
The Tupiniquins Park shares the same area and facilities as Fort São João, it has in the external area some bronze sculptures of Indians and their daily lives and of the Gesuits and Father Anchieta cayequising the Indians. I recommend a visit so you can check it out better and learn a little more about our history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we had a great time here. bought fresh fish from a local fisherman. had it fried here at the park by a local fisherman at an afternoon party here. this place is so beautiful. great views on all sides and very friendly people here too. just minutes walk from many great restaurants and cafe's too. and a short bycicle rode on the bike path from the house we rented at the beach too.
