They should have specific times for neutering by the city hall x private, my cat was trapped for 2 and a half hours, while others (payers) stayed less than half an hour, I asked if everything was ok after an hour and they informed me that he was already in the procedure and after the second hour, they changed the story, saying that he was going to enter at that moment, because he had taken a long time to sleep... I don't recommend it.

They recommend that you arrive 10m before, but the order of service is on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you would like to be served quickly, arrive earlier. Upon arrival, they gave us a number and explained how the procedures would work. Basically, your pet is evaluated (superficially) by a vet, who will ask basic questions and give an injection so that the animals stay calm and sleepy before the operation. It is important that your pet is not overweight or showing signs of heat, otherwise they will not be neutered. After the pets have been reassured, the owners fill out a form and receive the chip certificate. Then just wait for your file to be called to start the castration. It usually takes from 1h to 1h 30m, depending on the number of people. From what I've noticed, animals come in every two to be operated on. A relevant point is that they offer the post-surgical outfit and the cone (I think the outfit in the range of 30 to 40, 50 reais for big dogs, the cones I didn't get to see) in addition to the necessary medicines for the recovery of your pet. They sell in fractions, so it makes up for a lot by not having waste, in addition to the price being well into account. In addition to medicines, they also offer free vaccination against rabies, and paid services such as tartar cleaning and hernia removal, with a price range of around 100 to 200 reais. It is a good option for those who want to save money, since their pet will already be sedated. After surgery and procedures, they return their pet still groggy. It is important to observe their state and development at this time as the anesthesia wears off. They also send via WhatsApp the entire process for the recovery of the pet, as well as the medication schedule. After 10 days, the owners take the pet to have the stitches removed, there is no need to make an appointment. What is good to note is that the neutering service offered there is very impartial and little customized, even to take care of all the pets. They do not do or ask for blood or heart tests, nor do they delve too deeply into the pet's history before surgery. If you feel that your pet has some relevant point, it is important to talk, however, if you really want to be sure, it may be interesting to do these tests on the outside to make sure that everything is 100% and that the pet can be neutered.
