The view is wonderful, it is worth the 1:30 hike, take light water and food if you prefer, to guarantee a return trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excelente trilha. Ela começa no café do platô. Tem alguns trechos de mata fechada. Para assinar o livro é necessário equipamento, pelo perigo para acessar o livro. Vista maravilhosa. Levamos 5 horas ida e volta num ritmo razoável, sem pressa. Trilha de nível médio.
Excellent trail. It starts at the plateau cafe. There are some stretches of forest closed. To sign the book requires equipment, because of the danger to access the book. Wonderful view. We took a 5 hour round trip at a reasonable pace, unhurried. Medium level track.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Trilha média para difícil. Para chegar lá siga primeiramente pela trilha que leva ao Pico do Platô. Após o Pico do Platô a trilha não segue sinalizada e devido a pouca frequência de aventureiros a mata é mais fechada. No final a um desafio para se chegar ao topo da rocha e assinar um livro. Eu particularmente não cheguei ao topo, estava tarde e tivemos que retornar correndo. Grupo: eu 48 anos, esposa 43 anos e filhas de 10 e 16 anos. Tempo: Com as paradas para fotos e apreciando os sons dos pássaros levamos 3h. A volta foi mais rápida. Paisagens maravilhosas. Recomendo ir cedo para ter tempo de parar nos vários mirantes pelo caminho. Leve água e se possível frutas do café da manhã. Recomendo também calçados próprios para trilhas ou no mínimo tênis. O Google Maps tem a trilha mais ou menos demarcada.
The trail is average for hard. To get there, first follow the path that leads to Pico do Platô. After the Plateau Peak the trail is not signposted and due to the low frequency of adventurers the forest is more closed. In the end it's a challenge to reach the top of the rock and sign a book. I particularly did not get to the top, it was late and we had to hurry back. Group: I 48 years, wife 43 years and daughters of 10 and 16 years. Time: With the photo stops and enjoying the sounds of the birds we took 3h. The return was faster. Wonderful landscapes. I recommend going early to have time to stop at the various belvederes along the way. Bring water and if possible fruit from breakfast. I also recommend footwear suitable for trails or at least sneakers. Google Maps has the track more or less demarcated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Trilha de leve a moderada (depende da resistência física de cada pessoa). As paisagens são fantásticas. Fora a subida, a parte uma pouco mais complicada é subir a pedra do cume que exige o auxílio de cordas. Aconselho sempre a companhia de um guia local que pode ser contratado nas agência de turismo de Monte Verde - MG (há diversas na avenida principal).
Light to moderate trail (depends on the physical resistance of each person). The landscapes are fantastic. Aside from the climb, the slightly more complicated part is climbing the peak stone that requires the help of ropes. I always advise the company of a local guide who can be hired at the travel agencies of Monte Verde - MG (there are several on the main avenue).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fiz a trilha iniciando pelo chapeu do bispo (mesmo local que parte a trilha da pedra redonda). Os primeiros 2k da trilha são faceis não têm obstáculos e quase todo percurso é plano. Nos 500m finais têm alguns obstáculos e a trilha fica mais fechada, e alguns pontos é perigoso se perder, pois não têm sinalização.
É possível fazer a trilha seguindo o google maps, pois toda a trilha está no mapa, porém é bom levar um celular reserva, pois sem o GPS acho perigoso se perder já que em alguns lugares tem bifurcações.
I made the trail starting with the bishop's hat (same place that the round stone trail starts). The first 2k of the trail are easy and have no obstacles and almost the entire route is flat. In the final 500m there are some obstacles and the trail is more closed, and some points are dangerous to get lost, as they have no signs.
It is possible to do the trail following google maps, because the entire trail is on the map, but it is good to take a spare cell phone, because without the GPS I think it is dangerous to get lost since in some places there are forks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Trilha linda, pouca gente após o platô, super vale a pena. Mata fechadinha, vale a pena ir com calça cumprida, mas nada difícil. A única dúvida pode ser a entrada pro pico do platô que fica mais pra direita. Depois não tem muito erro. Geralmente, a trilha fica mais pra esquerda e na direita sempre tem umas saidas pra uma vista, mas é so voltar pra trilha e continuar até o pico.
O total dá uns 45-60min caminhando normal sem parada. A gente acha que escutou um felino (onça parda?) no caminho mas não chegamos a ver..
Os guias da pedra redonda falam que a trilha está fechada! Eh mentira! Ta aberta e vale muito mais a pena do que a pedra redonda que ta lotada de gente/iniciante!
Beautiful trail, few people after the plateau, super worth it. Mata closed, it is worth going with long pants, but nothing difficult. The only doubt may be the entrance to the peak of the plateau that is further to the right. Then there is not much error. Generally, the trail is more to the left and on the right there are always exits for a view, but just go back to the trail and continue to the peak.
The total is about 45-60min walking normally without a stop. We think we heard a feline (jaguar?) on the way but we didn't see it..
Round stone guides say the trail is closed! Hey lie! It's open and it's much more worth it than the round stone that's full of people/beginners!
