★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apesar de um bom ensino e de um corpo docente preparado, peca muito em termos de estrutura. Salas sem ar condicionado e nem mesmo os projetores funcionam corretamente. Os auditórios principais são bons e o atendimento ao público funciona de forma regular.
 Despite good teaching and a well-prepared faculty, it lacks a lot in terms of structure. Rooms without air conditioning and not even the projectors work properly. The main auditoriums are good and the public service works regularly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Faço Engenharia Mecânica na UFBA, estou no 6 semestre e gosto muito. De fato a UFBA poderia ser bem melhor, mas para aqueles que exploram seu potencial, ela já é incrível. Temos sim falta de laboratórios e aulas práticas mas temos material de valor muito melhor do que isso. Temos em Mecânica 4 Grupos motivacionais, que põem a mão na massa, Aero UFBA, Baja, Formula SAE e Naval, uma empresa junior cada vez mais consolidada no mercado e em seus serviços, a TM Jr., várias iniciação científicas em áreas completamente diversas, como Elementos finitos, Redes Neurais, Materiais da construção mecânica e vários outros que ainda estão por sair. O curso melhorou muito nos ultimos 5 anos graças a forte atuação do diretório acadêmico junto com alunos e professores do departamento e ainda temos muito a melhorar. Mas digo com toda certeza: a experiência de ser um aluno de Engenharia Mecânica na UFBA é fantástica. Podemos não ter laboratórios, muita prática, mas temos uma vivência diferente, de correr atrás, aprender a aprender, pra alcançar nossos objetivos. Temos ainda um grupo de Consultoria e Finanças, criados por alunos de Eng. Mecânica, mas não limitada a esses, alguns laboratórios com impressora 3D de uso livre voltada para desenvolvimento e inovações e claramente, professores muito qualificados que nos fazem enxergar o mundo de outra forma. Recomendo a todos que estão em dúvida sobre que faculdade seguir.
I do Mechanical Engineering at UFBA, I'm in the 6th semester and I really like it. In fact, UFBA could be much better, but for those exploring its potential, it's already amazing. We do have a lack of labs and practical classes, but we have material of much better value than that. In Mechanics we have 4 hands-on motivational Groups, Aero UFBA, Baja, Formula SAE and Naval, a junior company increasingly consolidated in the market and in its services, TM Jr., several scientific initiations in completely different areas , such as Finite Elements, Neural Networks, Mechanical Construction Materials and several others that are yet to come out. The course has improved a lot in the last 5 years thanks to the strong performance of the academic directory together with students and professors from the department and we still have a lot to improve. But I say it with certainty: the experience of being a Mechanical Engineering student at UFBA is fantastic. We may not have laboratories, a lot of practice, but we have a different experience, of chasing, learning to learn, to reach our goals. We also have a Consulting and Finance group, created by Mechanical Eng. students, but not limited to these, some laboratories with free use 3D printer focused on development and innovations and clearly, very qualified teachers who make us see the world of another form. I recommend it to everyone who is in doubt about which college to go to.
