Você precisa conhecer o litoral do Rio Grande do Norte e as histórias locais. Tibau foi descoberta pelo navegador holandês Gideon Morris de Jorge em fevereiro de 1641. Após constatar a existência de salinas do Rio IWIPANIM (hoje, rio Mossoró) e maravilhado com a variedade de areias, observadas através de uma luneta, chamou pela cor que predominava: Morro Vermelho. Um lugar muito lindo.
