★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful square in the center of Belo Horizonte inspired on the gardens of the Versailles palace, it is one of the most relevant ones. It has the so called cultural circuit around it, including different museums, knowledge institutions and at least one theater. The CCBB (cultural center of Banco do Brasil) stays nearby and is a must do visit. Also notice the wavy building, it is Oscar Niemeyer’s project. And such a beautiful one.
The palm trees lane is so beautiful!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful local square in the historic centre of the city. It's flanked on all four sides by old colonial era buildings, and it has gorgeous manicured gardens.
Stop by here for a photo opportunity, before heading to the nearby museum or cultural centre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place in BH to stroll, walk, sit and observe the historic buildings in the surroundings. The landscaping is beautiful and very well maintained. And for those who like exhibitions of art, history and knowledge, it is very worthwhile to visit these buildings that, in times of pandemic, follow the distancing rules, alcohol gel available, pressure measurement at the entrance and control of people's access through prior scheduling.
