Também para quem gosta de fazer aquela caminhada saudável é um ambiente muito agradável para caminhar no final da tarde e cedo da manhã. Aqui também é local de encontro entre amigos e conhecidos da cidade.

Mas passa despercebida no corre-corre do dia a dia, pois fica no meio do comércio. O entorno tem belos prédios, antigos, muito mal cuidados.
O belemita não tem o hábito de cuidar do seu patrimônio arquitetônico histórico e cultural. Isso é fato.
Aqui não dá pra vacilar. Sempre tem um malandro por perto com disposição pra te roubar.
Durante o dia a anarquia urbana. Camelôs disputam o espaço pra vender capas e carregadores de celular, guarda-chuvas e outras bugigangas.
Ao entardecer surgem as prostitutas. Decadentes, entoam o canto dos cisnes, antes de serem desprezadas até pelo velho impotente que hoje ainda se faz contente em seus corpos flácidos.
Amanhã desprezada... Vendo-a dirão:
Essa mulher, de face escaveirada, que vês tremendo em ânsias de fadiga...
Estendendo a quem lhe passa, a mão mirrada
Foi meretriz antes de ser mendiga.
