O monumento a Pedro Teixeira foi um presente da Sociedade Portuguesa Beneficente à cidade de Belém, pelos seus 350 anos de fundação. É uma homenagem ao militar português Pedro Teixeira, que anos 22 anos, chegou ao Brasil, e foi um nome chave da fundação da capital paraense, comandando muitas batalhas contra invasores franceses, holandeses e ingleses.
Inaugurada em outubro de 1966, a estátua, preparada em bronze, foi resultado do labor dos engenheiros e operários especializados portugueses. Tem dois metros e dez centímetros de altura. Possui pedestal todo em fino mármore, totalizando 6,80 metros de altura.
