The Tué stream, as it was named after the creation of an association of landowners through which it travels, or Ribeira stream, as it was once called, is one of the last water sources that survive in the territory of Ribeira do Pombal / BA. It is born in the locality known as Brejo, due to the abundance of water that exists in the space, and it has more than 6 km of extension. Its existence has been known since the first historical records in the municipality of Pombal, 352 years ago, when the Jesuits arrived to catechize the Quiriri Indians. In the place where the creek is born, even new residents of Portuguese origin settled in, coming from the state of Sergipe, after realizing in the abundant space in water, in the middle of the sertão, an opportunity to earn money with the cultivation of sugarcane. sugar and, consequently, with the sugar mills. Despite the great exploration of the land and the diverse human actions in more than three centuries, the stream has survived and usually receives the attention of some residents wherever it travels. However, in some lands he suffers from abandonment, hindering him to follow his natural course, which is parallel to the BR-110 (Avenida Luís Viana Filho), until the vicinity of the Ribeira do Pombal / Cipó interchange, where he passes through under the highway to meet the Massacará River, which stopped being perennial about 170 years ago. After the meeting of the waters of the Tué stream with the Rio Massacará, both continued to the Rio Itapicuru, in Cipó / BA. On the way there are localities from Pombal such as the farm Marcação, Caruara, Tapera and Canavieiras, passing through the territory of Ribeira do Amparo, where on KM 193 of the BR-110, crosses the highway again, to reach the Municipality of Cipó, passing through BA-084 and flow into the Itapicuru River. In the final stretch of this route there is the Rio Quente, another tributary of the Rio Massacará, which is perennial and responsible for delivering water to the Itapicuru River in the last 5 km of the Massacará, which is more than 100 km long. Pollution In October 2019, with the beginning of the work to revitalize the Ribeira do Pombal Municipal Reservoir, the Brejo region, where the Tué stream runs, was surprised by the receipt of all the sewage that used to fall into the reservoir, from part of the region central city. With the dissatisfaction of some landowners, the Municipality of Ribeira do Pombal, on its own initiative, decided to channel the sewage and throw it directly into the Tué stream, increasing its flow with contaminated water, harming fish species that inhabit its waters. This caused the stream to go further, but with inadequate water, causing the population to fear that, if nothing is done in the coming years, the sewage will take over the Tué route and continue to Itapicuru, damaging other ecosystems.

Building is well located. I find its relationship with the surroundings interesting, a square well wooded with pine trees, but with few furniture. This building is a landmark for the southern region of the city.
