★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the almost-hidden turning in the road, you wouldn't expect to stumble upon a small handful of handmade tables, benches, and woven beach mats on the beach across the small river below the cliff where you park. You'd be even more surprised to discover that there is a functioning restaurant in the building just down the cliff path, which serves up good sized portions, and even brings them across the river to your table.
The day we spent here was supremely serene, almost surreal. For miles in both directions, there are just stretches of clear sands below imposing cliffs circled by majestic birds of prey, almost no infrastructure in sight. The waves can get pretty rough, but there's always the river for a calmer dip.
