★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for Bahia (whole state, not only litoral) high cuisine, no other place in town can satisfy your craving... Origem will bring you to our origens! A dreamlike journey into our childhood, our grammas’ “quitute”.
Put it simply, if you can have only one meal while in Salvador de Bahia, why waste your time anywhere else : go for the Origem.
We had an amazing night! Already looking forward to next visit...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible. It is a wonderful place with an amazing experience within. The chefs (Fabricio and Lisiane) are incredibly charismatic. If you are lucky they will stop by your table and have a great talk with you about your meal and Salvador. It is a experience in our city a must if you love food like I do.

Excellency and perfection are its standard.
For painting there are rules for mixing colors however no restriction by using different ingredient in cookings which makes its result unique..
Fabrício is always in pursue for innovations and it’s result are highly appreciated by his clients.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant combines with perfection the concept of haute cuisine with a course of 14 dishes- all a delicious creative mix of art with locally grown ingredients - in portions ideal to allow the client to experience them all. the chefs combine originality in the perfect creation of wonderful flavors with these ingredients. the food was amazing, the umbu drink was exceptionally amazing and the staff was exceptionally organized in explaining each of the dishes as well as in making sure that the client was satisfied in every way. an A +++ for the chefs, the dishes, the drinks- including the wines- and the all the superb staff . Fabio was our main server and he did such a superb job. I highly recommend the restaurant and experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience. Perfection in service and help if you don't speak Portuguese. Table by the kitchen is fantastic to watch preparation. Food is a series of amazing local flavors and drinks that are special (not just wine). Save room for dessert as unique in the best way. Well worth the 24 hrs of travel from the US we spent for the privilege. Thank you so much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ when we hear the term haute cuisine, we usually think of exotic dishes, with unknown ingredients and ingredients from other geographies, other customs… It turns out that at the OriGem restaurant it's “different”, I explain: Haute cuisine using traditional elements from international cuisines is something that you can find in any cosmopolitan city. The Heads of OriGem took the opposite path. As the name says, they went back to their origins and sought local, northeastern, Bahian and why not say, root cuisine, and developed a varied and extraordinarily well-balanced menu. With simple ingredients they created a menu that owes nothing to the most demanding gourmand. Simply complex, if I can use those words. But the complexity that provides a nirvana in our palate is perplexing to those who know a little bit about the elements used in each dish. Definitely a unique experience and, as far as I know, as we only had one dinner, it always changes, providing new experiences with new dishes, always looking for local, traditional, Bahian and Northeastern cuisine, undoubtedly the best in the world. Congratulations. I can't forget to register the welcome and the always-soliciting staff who, always one step ahead, serve us extraordinarily well. Be sure to check it out.
