★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sabe aquela comidinha caseira que se comia na reunião de família ou no final de semana na casa dos amigos? Pois é, essa é a sensação neste rústico e simpático restaurante na margem do estuário do rio Paraíba, bem em frente à Ilha da Restinga. A sensação é de estar em um quintal na casa simples de um pescador. A vista é belíssima e dá para acompanhar o vai e vem das balsas que vão para Lucena, cujo embarque fica a uma quadra de distância com acesso pela rua de trás (o restaurante fica no final de uma rua sem saída, a rua do Porto de Cabedelo).
No cardápio o destaque é a peixada, que pode ser peixe frito ou ao molho, ou a combinação dos dois. O pirão que acompanha a peixada é delicioso, pedi uma porção adicional e fui rapidamente atendido. Cuidado com a pimenta caseira apresentada em uma improvisada garrafinha plástica, o que tem de gostosa tem de forte, bastam duas ou três gotas no prato para já sentir a boca queimar.
Quanto às bebidas as opções são bem resumidas e talvez a sua cerveja preferida não esteja lá.
O atendimento simpático da dona do estabelecimento reforça a sensação de estar almoçando na casa de praia de amigos de longa data.
You know that homemade food you ate at family gatherings or on the weekend at friends' houses? Well, that's the feeling in this rustic and friendly restaurant on the banks of the Paraíba river estuary, right in front of Ilha da Restinga. The feeling is of being in a backyard in a simple fisherman's house. The view is beautiful and you can follow the coming and going of the ferries that go to Lucena, whose boarding is a block away with access from the back street (the restaurant is at the end of a cul-de-sac, Rua do Porto de Cabedelo).
On the menu, the highlight is the fish dish, which can be fried fish or fish in sauce, or a combination of the two. The pirão that accompanies the fish is delicious, I asked for an additional portion and was quickly served. Be careful with the homemade pepper presented in an improvised plastic bottle, what's delicious is strong, just two or three drops on the plate to feel your mouth burn.
As for drinks, the options are pretty summarized and maybe your favorite beer isn't there.
The friendly service from the owner of the establishment reinforces the feeling of having lunch at the beach house of longtime friends.

Após passarmos pelo porto, de repente nos deparamos com esse local tão simpático e aconchegante, com uma vista privilegiada, resolvemos parar para nos hidratar e fomos muito bem atendidos pela Dona Margarida, muito simpática e de boa conversa, passamos um fim de tarde muito agradável. Não ficamos para ver o pôr-do-sol, mas pela vista deve ser lindo. Comemos uma porção de carne de sol com fritas, muito bem feita, sendo que só as fritas talvez poderiam ter ficado um pouco escorrendo o óleo antes de servir. Voltaremos para ver o pôr-do-sol e experimentar a peixada de Dona Margarida. Recomendamos, mas não vá pra ficar só bebendo e ocupando espaço, tenho certeza que serão bem vindos para jantar e acompanhar o anoitecer.
A great find at the end of the road when we went for a walk and got to know the Cabedelo region. After passing through the port, we suddenly came across this very friendly and cozy place, with a privileged view, we decided to stop to hydrate ourselves and we were very well attended by Dona Margarida, very friendly and with good conversation, we spent a very pleasant afternoon . We didn't stay to watch the sunset, but the view must be beautiful. We ate a portion of carne de sol with fries, very well done, and only the fries could have been a little dripping with oil before serving. We will come back to see the sunset and try the fish dish from Dona Margarida. We recommend it, but don't go just drinking and taking up space, I'm sure you'll be welcome for dinner and watching the sunset.
