★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Im going to speak directly to the gringos. Not long ago it was me looking for an attorney in Rio to help me evaluate a potential real estate purchase. I received many referrals from brazilian friends, including one who spoke fluent English, but in the end, I went with my gut and chose Rodrigo on the basis of his fabulous record of 5-star reviews here. Even though I ultimately decided to not pursue the purchase, the process introduced me to Rodrigo and now I have a trusted attorney for all of my future endeavors in Brazil, for which Im quite grateful. I can probably count on one hand the number of times that I have felt motivated enough to leave a written review, but Rodrigo deserves one. He was patient, making sure I understood at each moment what he was going to work on next, and if it was ok to proceed. Once consent was given, he (and his team) moved quickly and efficiently to evaluate the viability of my potential real estate purchase. But more than any other quality, I feel that Rodrigo has integrity, and always was looking out for my best interests. He exceeded my expectations (already high, expecting 5-stars) in every way (including super reasonable fees!) and I highly recommend him to anyone, but especially to the foreigners who want to do business in Brazil, so take a breath, you can stop searching now.
