Second place visited on this island and I liked the Archaeological Historical Site style Belém City Hall could make a museum when tourist like me, have more guidance and folder for us to bring as a souvenir.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Que lugar incrível, as ruinas estão bem conservadas e não aparentavam que iriam ruir. Muito bonito e ainda tem histórias sobre visagens, se tem medo é melhor não ouvir. Escutei algumas e fiquei curioso querendo saber mais sobre o lugar. Seria interessante um roteiro turístico para toda Cotijuba, passando por aqui, contando sobre o passado, eu sou turista e senti falta disso durante minha estadia.
What an incredible place, the ruins are well preserved and didn't look like they were going to collapse. Very beautiful and still has stories about views, if you are afraid it is better not to listen. I heard some and I was curious wanting to know more about the place. It would be interesting a tourist itinerary for all Cotijuba, passing by, telling about the past, I am a tourist and I missed it during my stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As ruínas do educandário Nogueira de Faria é a primeira imagem que o turista tem ao chegar na ilha de Cotijuba. Em 1933 foi inaugurado o espaço que abrigava menores infratores, sendo posteriormente o primeiro presídio do Pará, recolhendo da cidade presos e condenados políticos, assim como adultos e menores infratores. Por conta disso, há diversas lendas que povoam o imaginário paraense sobre uma ilha almadiçoada. O que foi derrubado quando virou atração turística devido a biodiversidade chamando a atenção e se tornando ponto turístico para banhistas.
The ruins of the educational institution Nogueira de Faria is the first image that tourists have when they arrive on the island of Cotijuba. In 1933, the space that housed minor offenders was inaugurated, later being the first prison in Pará, collecting political prisoners and convicts from the city, as well as adults and minor offenders. Because of this, there are several legends that populate the imaginary of Pará on a haunted island. What was dropped when it became a tourist attraction due to biodiversity attracting attention and becoming a tourist spot for bathers.
