★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good mineira cuisine at 2 blocks from Republica Square. Portions are decent, ingredients are good, and the surroundings justify the price premium above what you'd pay for a Prato feito in any random lanchonete (neighborhood bar restaurant, typically recognized by lots of light colored tiles and fruit hanging around to be processed into juice) . The pudim de leite was awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have tried several dishes there, and they're all very good. My favorite is feijoada which they serve everyday. I think they serve the best feijoada in Sao Paulo. Service is great, and they also have a very nice list of fresh juices and cocktails.
