★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Estando em São Francisco Xavier, é imperdível uma ida para o restaurante Serra das Águas degustar uma cozinha requintada rodeada a muito verde bem tratado, conhecer a truticultura e ainda percorrer uma trilha até uma cachoeira. Algumas observações são necessárias para ir para lá. Primeiro, só abre aos sábados e domingos. Segundo, faça a reserva antecipada. Terceiro escolha um dia de tempo bom. Quarto, vá com o carro com bons pneus. A criação de truta requer águas limpas e a nascente de águas límpidas fica no alto da montanha, precisando subir alguns quilômetros, sendo que os 200 metros finais precisam ser a pé para não poluir o ambiente. Vale muito a pena. A paisagem é deslumbrante. A trilha na parte do trás do restaurante, apesar de tranquila, requer cuidado por não ter proteção e não recomendo para crianças e idosos. Na hora de comer, obviamente o melhor pedido é a truta, mas há outras opções para os que não são amantes de peixes. Li algumas avaliações antes de ir e fui preparada para a demora, porém, o que percebi é que a cozinha só abre ao meio dia e não às 11 como dizem, isto é, a visitação está aberta a partir de 11, mas a cozinha só ao meio dia. Uma vez aberta, os pedidos vieram sem demora. E a dica é que o estabelecimento concede um desconto para pagamentos em dinheiro. Se o tempo não for propício para ida ao trutário, ainda é possível experimentar os mesmos pratos e bebidas no restaurante que eles têm no centro de São Francisco Xavier. É o restaurante João de Barro. Farei a avaliação dele em separado.
 Being in San Francisco Xavier, it is a must go to the Serra das Águas restaurant to taste exquisite cuisine surrounded by a lot of well-treated green, to know the truticultura and even to cross a trail to a waterfall. Some observations are needed to go there. First, it only opens on Saturdays and Sundays. Second, make the reservation in advance. Third choose a good weather day. Fourth, go with the car with good tires. The breeding of trout requires clean water and the spring of clear waters is high on the mountain, needing to climb a few kilometers, and the final 200 meters must be on foot to not pollute the environment. Well worth it. The scenery is breathtaking. The trail at the back of the restaurant, though quiet, requires care for not having protection and I do not recommend it for children and seniors. At lunch time, obviously the best request is trout, but there are other options for non-fish lovers. I read some reviews before going and was prepared for the delay, but what I realized is that the kitchen only opens at noon and not at 11 as they say, that is, the visitation is open from 11, but the kitchen alone at noon. Once opened, the requests came without delay. And the tip is that the establishment grants a discount for cash payments. If the weather is not conducive to going to the restaurant, it is still possible to try the same dishes and drinks in the restaurant that they have in the center of San Francisco Xavier. Só achamos estranho cobrarem dos clientes a visita a cachoeira. Já fomos em diversas pousadas onde o valor é cobrado apenas dos visitantes que não consumirem no local ou que não estão hospedados.
Ficamos receosos da funcionária estar tossindo, com a cara vermelha... não transmite segurança numa época como esta.
Voltaremos com certeza.

We just found it strange to charge customers to visit the waterfall. We have already been to several inns where the value is charged only to visitors who do not consume on site or who are not staying.

Não deixem de conhecer a trilha para as cachoeiras. São aprox 30 minutos ida e volta e são lindas.
Restaurant has good service and excellent food. The dishes are very well prepared and tasty.
Don't miss the trail to the waterfalls. It takes approx 30 minutes round trip and they are beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vale o deslocamento da subida da montanha pra chegar nesse restaurante/trutário e desfrutar da maravilhosa vista do deck do restaurante saboreando ótimas opções de pratos e drinks...Existe uma trilha pra uma linda cachoeira na propriedade. Ótima opção pra quem esta na cidade de SFX!
It's worth going up the mountain to get to this restaurant/trutary and enjoy the wonderful view from the restaurant's deck savoring great options of dishes and drinks...There is a trail to a beautiful waterfall on the property. Great option for those who are in the city of SFX!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lugar aconchegante, em meio a natureza, com acesso direto à uma das cachoeiras da região, estacionamento amplo, o cardápio tem opções muito saborosas e boas opções de bebidas.
Estive na casa no dia dos namorados agora de 2021, e a casa estava em pleno funcionamento, super cheia, por isso estranho a informação que a trutaria que fica na Serra está fechada. Sei que eles tem uma unidade na cidade, mas só conheci a que fica na serra.
Cozy place, in the middle of nature, with direct access to one of the waterfalls in the region, ample parking, the menu has very tasty options and good drink options.
I was at the house on Valentine's Day now 2021, and the house was in full operation, super full, so it is strange that the information that the trouthouse located in Serra is closed. I know they have a unit in the city, but I only knew the one in the mountains.
