★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The pool is lovely, the location is great, the breakfast is really good but the air-conditioning is terrible. Hardly works and the battery died for our remote on the last day but they didn't have any spare batteries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An older hotel, looks like it was very hot in the 60s. Great pool, excellent location right next to Praia do Barra, a great swimming beach. Not a top of the line hotel anymore, but the price is right. My 5-night stay with a view of the bay came in at $375 total. The service staff are wonderful, kind, and patient. I really liked the breakfast buffet. Tourists are primarily Brazilian middle class folks and Argentinians from what I could tell. A great deal, I'll definitely be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel is well located. Breakfast food is good with quite a variety of options. Prices are fair. Hotel is old (details on walls and bathroom). Rooms are not quite clean (found a lot of hair in bathroom and I can see some fungus here and there). They have interface problems with big booking companies (Hotel apparently did not received booking information even though confirmation was received from my end). Overall is good for those that not care much about where to sleep, but not great for those that look for nice accommodations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service is excellent, the receptionists are well prepared specially Nira who make sure to make you feel welcomed and give you excellent tips about the local stablishments, the room is clean and comfortable, needs a little refurbishment, the lasure aerea is really good It also needs a better maintenance, the beach is from of the hotel and there is a very bohemian shore with cosy restaurants, live music, beautiful people, gay-friendly, at night there's a little cruising along the shore, really a pleasant area and hotel to stay. The price is worth the lack of luxury. I loved the neighborhood.

Breakfast was included they served fresh cakes and fruits as well as eggs meats and cheese and juice.
My room was very clean each upon arrival. The view was sooo amazing see posted pictures depending on time of day.
Pool access & located right across from the beach, dozens of restaurants.
Something I learned was the room key activity from the a/c.
The staff does not speak English much. A great location to for vacation
