After Our Lord of Bonfim, the Time Column has guided many people since its construction in 1967, informing the exact time direct from Brasilia to those who pass by the square. The monument was designed by the Lions Club Association and has, in its structure, the lion's shield that represents the club. At the top of the tower were placed four clocks, one on each side and also bright and colorful signs, which in addition to illuminating the city center, displayed advertisements of commercial stores. For those visiting Crateús, the Column of the Hour today is a meeting point for those who arrive and for those who live in the region.
