★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Em 1964 a Universidade Federal do Pará criou o órgão que deu origem à Escola de Música: o Centro de Atividades Musicais, que passou a promover eventos em Belém. Desse modo, a universidade pública federal veio a intensificar a vida artística do Estado. A iniciativa partiu de um grupo de professores do Instituto Carlos Gomes (até então única escola pública de música local), que em 1963 buscou na Universidade Federal do Pará infra-estrutura para o funcionamento do Coral Ettore Bosio.
Atualmente a Estrutura de Ensino da Escola de Música compreende: - Cursos Anuais e de Curta Duração (Oficinas e Curso Preparatório); - Cursos de Educação Profissional (Curso Básico e Curso Técnico) e Curso de Graduação em Música. Quanto à produção musical a Escola de Música mantém uma variedade de grupos artísticos como: Orquestras, Corais, Percussão, Bandas, Cameratas e outros.
In 1964 the Federal University of Pará created the organ that gave rise to the School of Music: the Center for Musical Activities, which started promoting events in Belém. Thus, the federal public university came to intensify the artistic life of the state. The initiative came from a group of teachers from the Carlos Gomes Institute (until then the only public school of local music), who in 1963 sought at the Federal University of Pará infrastructure for the operation of the Ettore Bosio Choir.
Currently the Teaching Structure of the School of Music comprises: - Annual and Short Courses (Workshops and Preparatory Course); - Professional Education Courses (Basic Course and Technical Course) and Undergraduate Music Course. As for music production the School of Music maintains a variety of artistic groups such as: Orchestras, Chorals, Percussion, Bands, Cameratas and others.

Music Conservatory, connected to the Federal University of Pará, the UFPA School of Music is an institution that has an integrated, innovative and differentiated pedagogical project. The only public educational institution that aggregates target audiences of all age groups, making it a benchmark in the segment.
It also has numerous extension projects, developed by students under the supervision of its teachers (mainly Masters and Doctors), which allow it to increase even more its penetration in the artistic environment and in the communities of origin of its students.

Cheguei a pegar a escola na sua antiga estrutura (era um ambiente bem apertado).
Mas aí, fomos consagrados com essa belíssima reforma. Mudou, menos a parte da frente, que não foi mexida. Até mesmo por ser um prédio histórico.
A escola de música conta com várias salas de estudos, sendo teóricas e práticas. E tem um excelente auditório que fica localizado no térreo. Se não me engano, o prédio conta com três andares;
- O prédio contém dois elevadores e uma rampa de acessibilidade para acessar o auditório (pois fica em um fosso). -
No primeiro, tem a sala da direção, sala de aula teórica e de piano.
No segundo, sala de aula das cordas.
No terceiro, sala de aula dos sopros.
Pelo menos era dessa forma na minha época.
Logo na entrada tem uma lanchonete, com opções de comidas.
Há seguranças na entrada e um estacionamento privativo para os professores.
An excellent school! I studied from 2011 to 2015.
I got to take the school in its old structure (it was a very tight environment).
But then, we were consecrated with this beautiful reform. It changed, except the front part, which was not moved. Even because it is a historic building.
The music school has several study rooms, both theoretical and practical. And it has an excellent auditorium that is located on the ground floor. If I'm not mistaken, the building has three floors;
- The building contains two elevators and an accessibility ramp to access the auditorium (as it is in a moat). -
In the first, there is the management room, theoretical and piano classroom.
In the second, the string classroom.
In the third, the wind classroom.
At least it was that way in my day.
Right at the entrance there is a cafeteria, with food options.
There are security guards at the entrance and private parking for teachers.
