O inicio da construção do Câmpus Experimental de São João da Boa Vista se deu no dia 6 de março de 2013, com o lançamento da Pedra Fundamental, em cerimônia que reuniu o reitor da Unesp, Julio Cezar Durigan, o Governador Geraldo Alckmin e secretários do Estado de São Paulo. O Câmpus fica num terreno de aproximadamente 107 mil m2, doada oficialmente à Unesp pela prefeitura de São João de Boa Vista. Está previsto para o segundo semestre de 2016 o início de um curso de Engenharia Aeronáutica.

The construction of the Campus Experimental of São João da Boa Vista took place on March 6, 2013, with the launch of the Fundamental Stone, in a ceremony that gathered the Rector of Unesp, Julio Cezar Durigan, Governor Geraldo Alckmin and secretaries of the State of São Paulo. The Campus is located in an area of approximately 107,000 m2, officially donated to Unesp by the municipality of São João de Boa Vista. The beginning of an Aeronautical Engineering course is scheduled for the second half of 2016.
