O Parque Eólico Serra das Vacas (ESV), está localizado em Paranatama, a 900 metros de altitude, na região centro/sul do Estado de Pernambuco, a 254 Km da capital, Recife. Seu objetivo é gerar energia elétrica pelo prazo mínimo de 20 anos e abastecerá 350 mil residências de todo o país.
A Fase I do projeto é composta por quatro Centrais Geradoras Eólicas (CGEs), conta com 53 aerogeradores que totalizam 91 MW de capacidade instalada. Já a A Fase II é composta por duas Centrais Geradoras Eólicas e conta com 22 aerogeradores que totalizam 51 MW de capacidade instalada.
