★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best German place in the area. The brauts and Eisbein are very good (we had the baked Eisbein), and served in huge portions. The service was also very attentive. The only knock against this place is the paltry selection of beer. For some reason, they have only a couple of decent German brews on the menu, and then the standard Ambev junk...if they were to add a few more German (and easily available in Brazil - just walk across the street to PDA and buy a couple of cases!) beers to the menu, it would be a great place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic German food, pretty good Spätzle. One main dish is for 2 persons, so if you order Schnitzel it will be 2 big Schnitzel so be aware of that when ordering. Same goes for other main courses.
Unfortunately there is not a single vegetarian dish and when I asked for a vegetarian plate with Spätzle & Sauerkraut (which would have been awesome), the Sauerkraut was cooked with meat (which the waiter wasn't aware of, luckily I saw it before eating). The Knödel sauce looked suspiciously brown as well. Only recommend it for non-vegetarians.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very traditional Germany restaurant in the city. To me is the best. Dishes serve two people and are very tasty. All of them are specialties. We go there for more than 40 years and the food is the same. The applestrudel is close your meal with a gold key.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While you may not think of German food when dining out in São Paulo, there are certainly great options, and Windhuk is for sure one of them. A traditional restaurant with a long history, it serves typical dishes in portions large enough for 2 people; my wife and I split a Paprika Schnitzel (we had pork loin, delicious, and they also have filet mignon and chicken), and the couple with us had Fried Eisbein, which I sampled, and it was fantastic! I'll have to come back to order it myself!
