About Bar do Juarez - Moema
É difícil não se surpreender com a trajetória de Juarez Alves, proprietário do badalado Bar do Juarez, que conta hoje com cinco unidades em São Paulo.
Natural de Ibitira, Bahia, o empresário chegou à cidade de São Paulo em 1973, aos 12 anos, e desde muito cedo sonhou em montar seu próprio negócio.
Mas o percurso até alcançar este objetivo exigiu muita disciplina para juntar o capital: trabalhou como balconista de lanchonete, chapeiro e, depois, garçom em vários estabelecimentos. “Desde o início descobri o prazer de servir as pessoas, colaborando para que elas tivessem momentos agradáveis com a família e amigos”, lembra Juarez.
Em 1986 com o irmão e um sócio inaugurou o “Restaurante Bier Bier”, que servia comida alemã. Em 1999, a casa foi vendida e no ano seguinte Juarez inaugurou a unidade Moema do Bar do Juarez.

Fast and attentive service and very good opening hours. Despite the higher price, the price-performance ratio is perfectly fine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Forget about fancy. Juarez is that kind of place where great lose conversation is a fit. Ideal for an honest first date or to join a group of friends to have a good time. Ask for the meat iron skillet (you will probably smell it when you arrive) and add some draft beer to your conversation. On sunny weekend days make sure to call first to check waiting time. It gets busy.
