★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The “RealRioFeeling” grocery, in Santa Teresa. You can get everything from the cool staff: coffee, wine, beer, sandwiches, meals, sweets and cold cuts, fruits and vegetables.
At the evenings sometimes live music also.

Casual local bar and small grocery store...
Highly recommended as a "carioca" experience!!

They also play samba music on other nights but not sure which ones exactly!
The ambiance is very nice! Be sure to get there around 8:00-8:30 to get a nice seat!
If you're hungry I'd recommend their pizza, they are delicious and cost about 35-45 brl!
Note that you need to pay a minimum of 5brl for the performance and also a service fee of around 12%.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ a meeting place of musicians, with top-notch choro on Mondays (I go every week) and Samba on Friday's. Good pizza. Excellent atmosphere filling the whole intersection owing to the fact that the venue is split across two buildings and the music spills on to the street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely disgusting. Dirty and expensive compared to other places in Santa. One of the waiters made totally inappropriate comments, probably thinking we did not understand him. I do not recommend this place for women.
