I was going to the post office and I was delighted to find this adorable corner padaria with a park - of course the park is closed right now because of Covid. Anyway, this spot was bustling and cute and reminded me so much of San Francisco. For whatever reason, people in Rio think that you can package coffee in a plastic bag and expect it not to spill. You can’t LOL The roll, or bread as they call it, that I had here was good, but nothing different than anywhere else, but I loved the environment! I would definitely recommend coming here just to hang out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was our spot for coffee and bread in the morning. The women who worked here were so nice and always made us feel welcomed. The language barrier in Rio is real serious but we managed with some spanish that was similar to some Portuguese words.
This place had really good coffee. They grind the beans daily. They bake all the breads and make natural juices as well.
They have different cakes and other sweets and when we didn't want to buy something without knowing how it tasted they gave us a sample.
