Em 2005, a Casa de Artes OperÁria inovou realizando o exercício teatral “RENT”, que se tornou um marco para o “meio” do teatro musical em São Paulo.
A parti dali, as pessoas que sonhavam em trabalhar com teatro musical, perceberam que tinham um lugar para dar o pontapé inicial em seus estudos, podendo não apenas estudar teatro, música e dança, com profissionais da área, como também, praticar a união das 3 artes, através de montagens de peças de teatro musical, como se fossem montagens profissionais.
