★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paradise! A very nice hotel with a beautiful view, runs by a gentle family. Comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast. It was a good choice to be outside the city and rent a boat to get to the city. Just check the weather before going to Paraty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is absolutely fabulous and besides it's beautiful view and great location, Mauricio and his team made it much more than a hotel stay. It's rather like a moment in Heaven.
The family who runs this place knows how to host their customers and provide so much attention with so many little details that make a huge difference in the end like the open kitchen where you can help yourself any time of the day with a piece of homemade cake and an expresso. Then you can go back to the swimming pool area with a lovely view of the beach and those small fishing boats.
The manager and his brother are very nice, extremely helpful as they are always around to ask you if you need help to go somewhere. They will even arrange a driver for you to go to the city and it will be cheaper than the local taxis. They even arranged my trip to my following stop and another one to the Ilha Grande Island. They called the other hotel to arrange a boat pick up and so much more... It's like a 5-star palace service and even better because they are naturally friendly and relaxed
The breakfast is also 5 stars. There is a lot to eat and drink and everything is good quality.
During my stay at casa Mar I only needed 2 meals a day. 1 breakfast and then the dinner.
We were asked if we wanted to get to the nearby beaches with a kayak and it was also a great experience. Again no additional charge
Rooms are very clean and comfortable with air conditioning, wifi, USB plug etc.
Paraty city is only 15 min from the hotel and there are many restaurant options over there with all types of food.
Also worth mentioning is the fact that Mauricio speaks very good English and that is really necessary sometimes when you need a description of the area and what you can do.
To be honest his hotel is so nice and pleasant that I did not want to visit anything for 3 days. I wanted to enjoy every minute.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most beautiful place in Brazil. Every thing in this hotel was carefully designed with great taste. The family who runs the place is gentle and friendly. They had very good recommendations about things to do in the area. They give careful attention to every guest staying in one of their 10 rooms.
Take into consideration that a taxi to town will take approx. 15 min and will cost 50 real, yet you probably will not even want to leave the hotel. I wouldn't bring young children here.
We had a very nice time and would love to come back.

The view from the hotel balcony is absolutely stunning, and the complimentary breakfast was amazing (homemade bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot press for sandwiches). They even have kayaks for usage at the beach nearby. No matter your budget, if you're in the area you owe it to yourself to check this place out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tucked away on the hills of Praira Grande beach sits the beautifully decorated and quaint Casa Mar. It’s just a short walk down a few stoned steps to the beach where you can eat at the amazing restaurant Quiosque Sao Francisco or go kayaking (free with the hotel).
The rooms are spacious with balconies. There’s an honest bar full of people wine, beer, coffee and other snacks. Take what you like just note it for check out. The hotel is about 20mins from the old town but the hosts will arrange a taxi for you so don’t let that stop you from staying at this amazing boutique hotel!

The location is nested in a tropical lush forest, with an incredible view of the ocean and below beach, where you have a nice by the beach restaurant, bar and massage place Do not miss out this place when visiting Paraty
