É um dos mais antigos e tradicionais café da estação,e existe há mais de cinquenta anos. O Dom Pedro segundo se notabilizou por servir o melhor café Capital de toda a redondeza. Servido em xícaras personalizadas, a localização da loja no corredor de passagem para o grande público de usuários da Central do Brasil, era parada obrigatória para tomar um cafezinho e apreciar outras delícias oferecidas pela casa. Ainda hoje, os antigos fregueses habitués do café ainda param no balcão para bater papo com os funcionários antigos da casa e reviver os bons tempos da Central do Brasil como um dos points mais tradicionais do Rio, e o antigo Café Restaurante Dom Pedro Segundo era muito popular não apenas pelo seu café, mas também pelo seu famoso bolo de milho e a laranjada servida em copo de papel em forma de funil. Tradicionalíssimos. Hoje o Central Rio Café não serve mais os tradicionais produtos do seu antigo Café e Restaurante Dom Pedro Segundo. Mas continua servindo o melhor café da Central do Brasil, e um dos melhores pão de queijo e outros itens. Vale conhecer.
Central Rio Café ltda is the former Dom Pedro Segundo Coffee and Restaurant, which is located inside the Central Station station in Brazil.
