★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Igreja aonde é possível ver de vários pontos da cidade, pois fica em um ponto bem alto de Ouro Preto. É muito bonita e infelizmente estava fechada. Tem uma linda vista da cidade lá de cima. Fomos de carro, pois é um percurso árduo e com muitas subidas, mas que vale muito a pena @entreviagensesonhos
Church where you can see from various points of the city, as it is at a very high point of Ouro Preto. It is very beautiful and unfortunately it was closed. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Igreja tardia cujas obras se arrastaram pelo século XIX, planta tradicional (nave, capela-mor e sacristia), fachada inspirada em outras igrejas (Nossa Senhora das Mercês e Perdões e da Conceição), talha em rococó tardio. A Irmandade foi criada em 1780, composta de mulatos e negros nascidos no Brasil. Vim a pé da praça da Rodoviária, fiquei muito tempo sentado na escadaria em frente à Igreja (que estava fechada, mas só a vista e a ambiência já valem a pena), depois desci até a Igreja de São José, que visitei, pois estava aberta, e de lá prossegui a descida até a parte mais movimentada da cidade e segui à direita até a casa de Bernardo Guimarães no bairro Cabeças. Uma boa caminhada!
Late church whose works dragged on through the 19th century, traditional plan (nave, chancel and sacristy), facade inspired by other churches (Nossa Senhora das Mercês e Perdões e da Conceição), late rococo carving. The Brotherhood was created in 1780, composed of mulattos and blacks born in Brazil. I came on foot from Praça da Rodoviária, I sat for a long time on the steps in front of the Church (which was closed, but the view and ambience alone are worth it), then I went down to the Church of São José, which I visited because it was open, and from there I continued the descent to the busiest part of the city and went right to Bernardo Guimarães' house in the Cabeças neighborhood. A nice walk!
