★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Construção iniciada em 1727 e concluída em 1746 onde existia a capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceição erguida pelo bandeirante Antônio Dias em 1699.
A Igreja, marco do nascimento de Vila Rica, é uma das mais importantes de Ouro Preto, com interior típico da arquitetura da primeira metade do século XVIII e fachada alterada no século XIX. Projeto e construção de Manoel Francisco Lisboa, pai de Antônio Francisco Lisboa, o Aleijadinho, ambos sepultados no interior da Igreja. Destaque para os oito altares laterais. Em frente ao primeiro altar, à direita, encontra-se sepultado o Aleijadinho. Abriga ainda o Museu Aleijadinho, (Sala da Sacristia e Sala da Cripta).
Atualmente o Santuário está fechado para restauração.
As missas estão sendo celebradas na Casa Paroquial ao lado da Igreja.
Construction started in 1727 and completed in 1746 where there was the chapel of Our Lady of the Conception erected by the bandeirante Antônio Dias in 1699.
The church, the birthplace of Vila Rica, is one of the most important in Ouro Preto, with an interior typical of the architecture of the first half of the 18th century and an altered façade in the 19th century. Design and construction of Manoel Francisco Lisboa, father of Antônio Francisco Lisboa, Aleijadinho, both buried inside the Church. Highlight the eight side altars. In front of the first altar, on the right, Aleijadinho is buried. It also houses the Aleijadinho Museum, (Room of the Sacristy and Room of the Crypt).
Currently the Sanctuary is closed for restoration.
The masses are being celebrated in the Parish House next to the Church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quando fomos, a Igreja estava em Restauração e vc consegue olhar o que esta sendo restaurado da entrada da Igreja. A parte externa já esta toda restaurada e ficou linda . Esta Igreja foi feita pelo pai de Aleijadinho, Manuel Francisco Lisboa. Ambos tem seu túmulo nesta Igreja . Aqui tbém encontra-se o Museu do Aleijadinho, porém , durante a restauração da Igreja algumas peças do Museu foram transferidas para a Igreja S F de Assis . Com o mesmo ingresso, visita-se 3 Igrejas: Conceição, São Francisco de Assis e Merces e Perdões. Esta Igreja esta localizada próxima a Casa de Marília , à Ponte dos Suspiros e ao Chafariz de Marília
When we went, the Church was in Restoration and you can look at what is being restored the church's entrance. The outside is already restored and all was beautiful. This church was made by the father of Aleijadinho, Manuel Francisco Lisboa. Both has his tomb in this church. Here tbém is the Aleijadinho Museum, however, during the restoration of the Church some parts of the museum were transferred to the Church of Assisi S F. With the same ticket, to visit three churches: Conception, St. Francis of Assisi and Merces and Pardons. This Church is located next to Casa de Marília, Ponte dos Sighs and Chafariz de Marília

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Na ocasião a Igreja estava fechada, devido às restrições em decorrência da pandemia, mas ainda assim valeu a pena visitar o local. A arquitetura da igreja é linda, e as ruas no entorno também são bastante charmosas. Gostei muito, visitaria novamente para ver a igreja por dentro.
