★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vi num programa da TV Brasil, Caminhos da Reportagem, sobre essa escola E.M. Guia Lopes, no Bairro do Limão e a forma como estudam e tratam da questão racial. Fiquei muito emocionada e feliz com direção e professores q começam a tratar da questão do racismo de forma tão inteligente, sem escondê-lo, mexendo nesta ferida de mais de 300 anos e tb de desigualdade. Vi duas frases hoje q achei muito interessante: Um povo,sem conhecimento de sua história e cultura é como uma árvore sem raízes. (Marcus Garrey) O racismo no Brasil é tão eficaz q a gente nem consegue falar sobre ele. É assim q é tratada a nossa falsa Democracia Racial. Frases p serem pensada sem todas escolas, desde q somos pequenos.
I saw in a TV Brasil program, Caminhos da Reportagem, about this school E.M. Guia Lopes, in Bairro do Limão and the way they study and deal with the racial issue. I was very excited and happy with the direction and teachers who are starting to address the issue of racism so cleverly, without hiding it, touching this wound of over 300 years and inequality as well. I saw two phrases today that I found very interesting: A people without knowledge of their history and culture is like a tree without roots. (Marcus Garrey) Racism in Brazil is so effective that we can't even talk about it. This is how our false Racial Democracy is treated. Phrases p be thought without all schools, since we are small.

Me entristece ter que sair desta maravilhosa família. Obrigada pela dedicação e carinho que todos vcs tiveram por nós estes dois anos. Sentiremos Saudades eternas desta belíssima fase escolar que ele iniciou aí com vcs.

My son João Pedro (Pepê), was part of this family called Nelson Mandela for two years, a unique school with a wonderful structure, more than special professionals. I am saddened to have to leave this wonderful family. Thank you for the dedication and affection that all of you have had for us these two years. We will miss you forever from this beautiful school phase that he started there with you.
