Sem o conhecimento das bases filosóficas da MTC, diagnóstico e tratamento, um acupunturista se sente inseguro e com resultados irregulares e seus atendimentos clínicos. A EPAC surgiu para sanar o déficit que há entre os conhecimentos do ocidente sobre MTC e o que é estudado, ensinado e praticado na China.
