★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Foi nessa incrível escola suburbana de Bauru que tive a grande ventura de ser estimulado a pensar criticamente, a sair da zona de conforto e a buscar um lugar ao sol. Ainda me recordo como se fosse ontem as super interessantes aulas de História que a professora Christine Areias conduzia com maestria. Fatiminha, fazia poesia com a matemática enquanto pintava os logaritmos na quadro negro. E claro, o ano todo sem repetir sequer uma peça de roupa. A geo-política de Walter, despertou nossos mais adormecidos neurônios para trilhar um caminho crítico, profundo e questionador. Wilma era firme mas sabia, certamente ainda sabe, Física como ninguém e dava risada de nós, pobres mortais tentando somar dois mais dois. Foi nessa simples escola que meu presente, alegres memórias e muitas conquistas se fizeram. Que Deus abençoe e dê vida longa ao Stela Machado.
It was at this incredible suburban school in Bauru that I had the great joy of being encouraged to think critically, to get out of the comfort zone and to find a place in the sun. I still remember as if it were yesterday the super interesting history classes that Professor Christine Areias led with mastery. Fatiminha, she wrote poetry with mathematics while painting the logarithms on the blackboard. And of course all year round without even repeating a piece of clothing. Walter's geo-politics has awakened our slumbering neurons to take a critical, deep, and questioning path. Wilma was firm but knew, certainly still knows, Physics like no one else and laughed at us poor mortals trying to add two plus two. It was in this simple school that my gift, happy memories, and many achievements were made. May God bless and give long life to Stela Machado.
