A fazenda Cachoeira Grande é cheia de histórias e beleza. Os donos resgataram a estrutura e tentaram, com sucesso, reconstruir a fazenda nos moldes antigos. Ela fica muito próxima de vassouras e para visitar é necessário agendamento prévio. Busque as informações sobre as fazendas nas hospedagens. Os donos são muito simpáticos e fornecem a histórias tanto da Fazenda quanto do vale.

It is very close to brooms and to visit it is necessary to book in advance. Look for information about the farms in the lodges. The owners are very friendly and provide stories of both the Farm and the valley.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Fazenda Cachoeira foi a melhor que visitamos sem dúvidas. O local repleto de histórias e com pessoas super agradáveis trazendo uma apresentação super dinâmica sobre a história (em especial a guia Silvana).
Além de toda a história colonial é abordado também um olhar sobre a escravidão de forma respeitosa, reforçando o papel do povo escravo como forma de resistência.
Agendamento: o local necessidade agendamento prévio, portanto é importante se programar
Caminho: coloque o caminho no Waze mas é importante seguir as placas da Fazenda quando elas começarem a aparecer, é bem sinalizado. A fazenda tem um caminho mais ‘rústico’ do que outras que ficam na estrada, mas sem dificuldade.
Local: a Fazenda tem uma área externa super grande, e uma estrutura interna muito bem cuidada. Fiquei curiosa para me hospedar uma próxima vez com eles.
Fazenda Cachoeira was the best we visited without a doubt. The place is full of stories and with super nice people bringing a super dynamic presentation about the history (especially the guide Silvana).

Scheduling: the place needs prior scheduling, so it is important to schedule
Path: put the path in Waze but it is important to follow the Farm signs when they start to appear, it is well signposted. The farm has a more 'rustic' path than others on the road, but without difficulty.
Location: The Farm has a super large outdoor area, and a very well-kept internal structure. I was curious to stay with them next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fazenda dispõe de um chalé muito confortável que dispõe de diversos utensílios de cozinha, pratos, copos, taças, talheres, sanduicheira, microondas, cooktop e vários itens para lanche para o café da manhã, tais como granola, iogurte, pães, chocolate em pó, leite, frutas….
Possui dois quartos iguais com banheiros privativos, com pasta de dentes, secador de cabelo, shampoo, condicionador, sabonete. Tivemos um problema na água quente de um dos banheiros, mas ficamos pouco tempo para conseguirmos solicitar o conserto. Também não nos deu problemas, pois tomamos banho no mesmo banheiro.
Tem uma varanda muito simpática com rede de frente para o açude.
O Wi-Fi não funciona muito bem. E de forma intermitente deixa de funcionar, mas sabíamos disso e não foi um problema.
Uma boa sacada foi de servir refeição no chalé que deve ser feita com antecedência. Estávamos com criança pequena e ainda na rua decidimos pedir dois pratos (penne ao funghi e fettuccine a sorrentino) que estavam muito bons e o molho de tomate bem equilibrado e sem acidez.
Eles oferecem uma visita guiada na casa grande e ainda nos carros antigos e carruagem que mantém no local. Infelizmente não tivemos tempo de fazer o passeio, mas numa próxima vez faremos essa visita. Uma dica que daria era de fazer valores diferenciados aos visitantes e hóspedes.

The farm has a very comfortable cottage that has several kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, bowls, cutlery, sandwich maker, microwave, cooktop and various snack items for breakfast, such as granola, yogurt, breads, chocolate in powder, milk, fruit….
It has two identical rooms with private bathrooms, with toothpaste, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap. We had a problem with the hot water in one of the bathrooms, but we were short of time to be able to request a repair. It didn't give us any problems either, as we showered in the same bathroom.
It has a very nice balcony with a hammock facing the weir.
Wi-Fi doesn't work very well. And intermittently it crashes, but we knew that and it wasn't a problem.
A good balcony was to serve a meal in the chalet, which must be done in advance. We had a small child and still on the street we decided to order two dishes (penne funghi and fettuccine sorrentino) which were very good and the tomato sauce was well balanced and without acidity.
They offer a guided tour of the big house and also of the old cars and carriage that they keep on site. Unfortunately we didn't have time to do the tour, but next time we will do this visit. A tip I would give was to make different values for visitors and guests.
Place to always go and return.

Recomendo a todos conhecerem o vale do café no Rio de Janeiro, Vassouras, com suas fazendas históricas.
What a lesson in the history of Brazil, everything very well maintained, a beauty of place with its furniture, architecture and external space. We were even graced with some songs played on the piano.
I recommend everyone to visit the coffee valley in Rio de Janeiro, Vassouras, with its historic farms.
