★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tudo é lindo , romântico e nos conduz ao passado. Conheci essa praça em 1950. Jardim BELISSIMO, canteiros floridos e hoje nem parece o esplendor que possuía essa praça, seus jardins e seus habitantes.
Everything is beautiful, romantic and takes us back to the past. I got to know this square in 1950. BELISSIMO Garden, flowerbeds and today it doesn't even seem the splendor that this square, its gardens and its inhabitants had.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dominando o alto da praça, a igreja oferece uma visão ímpar do centro histórico da cidade de Vassouras. Seu interior é tão belo quanto o de tantos outros templos católicos fluminenses (como a igreja da Penha, no Rio de Janeiro), mas o que me chamou muito a atenção foi um espaço solidário de partilha de livros, onde encontrei um volume de ninguém menos que... Nietzsche!
Dominating the top of the square, the church offers a unique view of the historic center of the city of Vassouras. Its interior is as beautiful as that of so many other Catholic churches in Rio de Janeiro (such as the church of Penha, in Rio de Janeiro), but what caught my attention was a solidary space for sharing books, where I found a volume of none other than that... Nietzsche!
