★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aqui funcionam a reitoria e os setores administrativos da UFOB. Apesar de antigas (aproveitadas de um velho colégio municipal), as instalações são boas e bem cuidadas. O único problema é que a rua não é calçada e o barro seco forma uma nuvem de pó bastante desagradável no entorno. A prefeitura deveria se sensibilizar pela situação, uma vez que a instituição representa um grande vetor de desenvolvimento e visibilidade para a região.
Here the UFOB rectorate and administrative departments work. Although old (taken advantage of an old municipal college), the facilities are good and well maintained. The only problem is that the street is not paved and the dry clay forms a rather unpleasant cloud of dust in the surroundings. The city should be aware of the situation, since the institution represents a great vector of development and visibility for the region.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enquanto o Instituto das Ciências Ambientais e Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Universidade Federal da Bahia, como campusde Barreiras da UFBA, oferece cursos de graduação em Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental, Geografia (Lic.e Bach.), Geologia, Química (Lic. e Bach.), Engenharia Civil, Matemática (Lic. e Bach.), Ciências Biológicas (Lic. e Bach.), História (Licenciatura), Administração, BI em Ciência e Tecnologia e em Humanidade e mais recentemente foi aprovado o curso de Medicina.
A UFOB tem em seu formato original a implantação de quatro campi nas cidades baianas de Barreiras, Bom Jesus da Lapa, Barra e Luís Eduardo Magalhães. Depois de grande mobilização dos moradores da Bacia do Rio Corrente foi incluído um câmpus em Santa Maria da Vitória.
Em 9 de setembro de 2014, foi dada a abertura do semestre letivo, que marcou o início da implantação de doze novos cursos que passaram a ser oferecidos nas cidades-sede da instituição.
While the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Sustainable Development at the Federal University of Bahia, as a campusde Barreiras da UFBA, offers undergraduate courses in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, Geography (Lic.e Bach.), Geology, Chemistry (Lic. And Bach.) , Civil Engineering, Mathematics (Lic. And Bach.), Biological Sciences (Lic. And Bach.), History (Licenciatura), Administration, BI in Science and Technology and in Humanity and more recently the medical course was approved.
UFOB has in its original format the implantation of four campuses in the Bahian cities of Barreiras, Bom Jesus da Lapa, Barra and Luís Eduardo Magalhães. After a great mobilization of the residents of the Rio Corrente Basin, a campus was included in Santa Maria da Vitória.
On September 9, 2014, the school semester opened, which marked the beginning of the implementation of twelve new courses that started to be offered in the institution's host cities.
