★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our flight was delayed. We called to let them know and left a message. When arrive there, they didn’t have any messages from us and put us as no show and try to make us rent a more expensive car $1000 extra on what we already payed. The rental place is in a sketchy neighborhood. Don’t use FOCO.

Paid for a car at the reservation moment and somehow they said they didn’t have it so they had to give me the next “best” one which was not worth even half of what I paid.
It’s not in the airport so you have to Uber or wait a very long time for the shuttle
Lastly they don’t seem to listen to you or care about what you have to say.
Somehow I paid almost a thousand dollars for a very bad car

Booked with Foco due to a very good special offer online for Premium SUV, which turned out to be too good to be true.
First, despite allowing the booking in English, the staff don't speak English, so if you don't speak Portuguese, do bother with them. As I speak some and my wife is Brazilian it was OK.
First, we confirmed our booking twice in the month before arrival. Our flight was delayed and on arrival (still before pick up time) we sent them a WhatsApp message (the only way to contact them), to confirm we were still coming. Then said OK. We again texted at the bus stop waiting for thr shuttle. Again no problem. We had to wait for a third shuttle due to so many people waiting and smaller shuttle buses.
On arrival we then had to wait approx 45 mins to be seen at the counter. When we were finally seen, we were told that as we were later than one hour after our booking they couldn't supply a premium SUV (Jeep Compass). This was despite us sending them two messages that morning.
We were told that they would offer a seven seater Chevrolet Spin and that it was actually a better car. I explained that we had arrived for our wedding, and that my father and brother were very tall and that is the reason we wanted the Premium SUV, their response was simply that they had already given it away.
So we had no choice but to accept the Spin. The car hadn't been cleaned and the fuel tank was nearly empty. The car was clearly second hand and had the remnants of religious stickers on the back window.
We said we would be passing the location again over two days that week and they advised us to contact them via WhatsApp and said if they had an SUV we could exchange for the car we originally booked.
When we passed GRU we texted on WhatsApp with all the info but received no reply. We called the phone number but were told it was a central booking number and we had to use WhatsApp. We tried again the next day and again received no response.
Finally, we returned the car early in the morning at the end of the trip. We were told it was 24hr return. The lady receiving us told us that although they are open 24hrs she couldnt check us back in as she didn't have access to the system and that another staff member would be in later to do it.
We had no option but to leave the car and go to the airport hoping that they wouldn't find something to charge us for after when we had left.
So, absolutely avoid this place. Pay a small bit extra and go to a reputable company like Localiza etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an amazing experinece with Foco Car Rental.
They've granted me with a brand new Onix used 2K only. I've absolutely nothing to complain, and the shuttle service to the Airport is quite handy. I am looking forward to next time arriving at Guarulhos and go wait for the van which takes me to Foco so my next experience will start again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not rent here! They don’t speak English, our prepaid reservation was cancelled after one hour as we were three hours late (due to congestion at the immigration, not our fault at all) and then we needed to make a new booking.
The first car we got had a tire with a deep cut and we had to argue to get another car (see picture).
I explicitly said that we want to return the car at Rio SDU airport multiple times and it was confirmed to me, however we had to return the car at Rio GIG airport and no shuttle service was offered. I will never consider Foco again and can’t recommend them at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good service. The shutter pick up at Guarulhos arrival is a bit confusing but the crew were very nice. They were very flexible and I had no worries at all. I did the booking using a Qeeq app, and the insurance was not included but they offered me insurance. The price was average, not expansive but also not cheap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing service from Foco Aluguel, specifically from Andreza and Maria Clara as they were absolutely great with me! The car was in perfect condition, took the full insurance which was offered at a good price for a very good Volkswagen Voyage (flex ethanol and petrol), and it was very fast to hand over and to return! On top of that quick transfer to the airport. Thank you very much, recommend to anyone requiring a rental car around São Paulo!
