★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fonte foi construída pelos franceses, nos anos iniciais de 1600, para abastecer a população. O monumento tem grande valor histórico e artístico. A bica original desapareceu e a água, atualmente, é retirada com o auxílio de vasilhas. Na parte posterior esquerda há uma cacimba de pedra.
The fountain was built by the French in the early 1600s to supply the population. The monument has great historical and artistic value. The original spout has disappeared and the water is currently removed with the help of vessels. In the left rear part there is a stone canopy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fica no final (ou inicio da Rua Fonte das Pedras). Ainda sai agua da fonte, como vê nas imagens. Peça ao guia te levar, pois o que me guiou nem me levou a esta fonte. Fui conhecer por conta própria pois fica pertinho da praça principal. Também existe outra fonte na periferia da cidade.
It is at the end (or beginning of Rua Fonte das Pedras). Water still comes out of the fountain, as you can see in the images. Ask the guide to take you, because what guided me didn't even take me to this source. I went to see it on my own because it is close to the main square. There is also another source on the outskirts of the city.
