★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chicken came burnt so we asked for a new one. The waiter said that this is how they make it there and started giving us unnecessary attitude considering how polite we were. He acted as if we're being difficult and was clearly annoyed by our request. I showed him the chicken that was completely black in parts and thus the taste of ash completely overpowered anything else. When the new chicken arrived, it was cooked better, but it was not crispy and the flavours were bland. The portion was also very very small. Maybe about 1 breast of meat on the whole bird, not enough for for 2.
The rice that came with the food was cold and not fresh. The tutu was average, more garlic or seasoning was necessary. My girlfriends or my cooking is far better, it's was a joke.
It is disappointing because we always walk past the restaurant and it looks popular. Reviews online were v positive. A combination of small portions, burnt and bland food and a waiter who acted like a petulant child made for a very unenjoyable experience.
The table when we arrived had not been cleaned from the last guests and had food stains and loads of salt granuals all over. It was roughly10pm so I assume the waiter didn't want to have to clean another table.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Galeto do Leblon is a traditional carioca restaurant, and, as there are lots of restaurants in the city with the same positioning, this one doesn't provide a service that makes it any special. The prices are high for its market. It might be because it is in Leblon, where prices are usually higher. And the food is not quite there. Their space is fine though. It is cozy and very well located.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i went in on a sunday afternoon at around 2pm and the place was very busy with families. it's a great local Brazilian place were it seems is popular with the locals in the area. non of the waiters could speak English. but they had an English menu. the BBQ chicken is thier speciality but they have other stuff. keep in mind that the chickens used are small. so 1 person can finish a whole chicken.
