★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pls review service as it's abit dissapointed because there is no welcome and nice arrangement which I use to get as a gold member. Facility is getting old. Breakfast and dinner are not so good, less choice, taste was poor. The laundry service is not good, feel that the clothes was not well cleaned even worse than before washing. My clothes's color is darker in return. I hope the managerment review the service and quality before customers look for alternative option.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel is amazing. It hosted my family in Belém while we prepare for our wedding. The staff was nothing short of amazing. Always being attentive to our every needs. We also hosted our party here. Everything about the night was perfect. The food here is spectacular. If you are traveling to Belém from outside Brazil, this is a for sure place to stay. Staff speaks both English and Portuguese.
I want to thank Grand Mercure for being such a great place. We will be using your location in the future for other events!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is ok, but truly isn’t a 5 star hotel. Parts of the hotel are highly in need of maintenance. The breakfast is blend, to say the least. The bar service is abysmal, both in speed and in level of interest of existing, it seems.
It has a large rooms for events. But again, service needs improvement and there is a huge need for maintenance, cleaning, modernizing m, making sense of it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed at the Grand Mercure on two separate occasions in Belem. The accommodations were decent but not luxurious. I don't know whether it was because of a staff shortage, the staff themselves, or hotel processes, but the check-in process took much too long. And the room keys are very prone to being desensitized, which caused annoyance for my colleagues who stayed there with me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a bad experience for me and my wife... People are polite but apart from that the service is level of English is terrible. If you are a tourist I would recommend the Hotel Haddison Maiorana it is 100% better and if you don't feel lost like I did.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hygiene and safety. The way the room was cleaned, with a focus on the bathroom box, everything leads one to believe that it is not sanitized between each stay in the room. I rented two rooms, of the same type, but the one of them What the room advertises is different from what is provided. The room was not cleaned between each stay in the room, but the inside of the room was other. The phone in the room did not work; when I asked for a change, the housekeeper put a device that did not play but played the other device in the bathroom, which she thought was perfectly normal. The fire alarm was not in the room. After much complaint, it was finally installed (it must have been taken from another room, at least the colour indicated it), which led me to conclude that somewhere in the hotel, in case of fire, we would be alerted too late. The minibar made an uncomfortable humming noise, I had to unplug it from the power to get to sleep. It's a 5 star hotel that leaves a lot to be desired.

Location is perfect and easily walkable from many points of interest in the city and a couple a decent restaurants around the corner as well.
Staff were impeccable and very helpful during the whole stay, status benefits also honoured!
