 Simply one of Salvador's must-see sights! The story told in every corner of this beautiful golden church and Portuguese tile panels.
Unfortunately, our government does not take care of historical heritage and it is deteriorating. Buy the book at the entrance to flip through as you walk and get to know it.

Large museum and church with many parts to visit. Ossuary open to visitors. Simply gorgeous. A visitation fee of R$ 10.00 is charged, which helps in the conservation of the heritage. Super friendly and courteous staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The facade is one of the most ornate in Salvador. The interior is stunning as well. The church next door is more pompous (way more gold ornate) but this one holds its ground and is totally worth the visit!

Beautiful blue and white mosaic tiles and a small but impressive collection of religious artefacts upstairs. Just prepare yourself to be absolutely blown away by the church next door - we were confused initially about its whereabouts
