Além desse detalhe o frontão elevado, a grande imagem de São José, bem como a fachada lateral que se assemelha a uma construção civil e não uma lateral de uma igreja. Seu interior a talha em Rococó, obra de Simão de Nazaré. A porta corta vento apresenta belos vitrais e ornamentos talhados na madeira. Vale conhecer. Horário de funcionamento: De segunda a sexta, das 8h às 17h

São Jose is housed in a church, built in the Brazilian colonial period, whose bells and carillon, assembled in 1883, enchant everyone for their beauty and sound. In addition to this detail, the high pediment, the great image of São José, as well as the side facade that resembles a civil construction and not the side of a church. Its interior is carved in Rococo, a work by Simão de Nazaré. The wind-cut door features beautiful stained glass and ornaments carved in wood. Worth knowing. Opening hours: Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of many historic Catholic Churches in Rio Downtown, the St. Joseph Church is extremelly beautiful and peaceful. For those who enjoys history and art, the church was built in 1608 in "colonial era" and was refurbish in the 19th century, when it received its barroque and rococó style. The gigantic St. Joseph came from France . There are public masses everyday, and its very beautiful and thrilling. The comunity is cozy and welcomes everyone who seeks for God.
