★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Igreja dos 15 Mistérios começou a ser construída em 1829, em estilo neoclássico. Fica na esquina da Praça dos Quinze Mistérios, no bairro de Santo Antônio.
Em 1811, foi fundada a confraria de N. S. do Rosário dos Quinze Mistérios dos Homens Pretos, que funcionou na Matriz de Santo Antônio Além do Carmo até a construção dessa capela. Em 1852, fundou-se irmandade de N. S. da Soledade, com sede na capela.
A Procissão do Encontro, promovida pela Paróquia de Santo Antônio Além do Carmo e pela Ordem 3ª de N. S. da Conceição do Boqueirão, começa com uma missa campal, em frente a Igreja dos 15 Mistérios. Depois os fiéis saem em procissão pelas ruas do bairro Santo Antônio. As imagens de N. S. das Dores e de Nosso Senhor dos Passos saem, respectivamente, da Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Boqueirão e da Igreja dos 15 Mistérios e se encontram na Igreja de Santo Antônio.
A minha visão sobre a igreja é de abandono. Parece que jogaram uma camada de reboco de cimento nas paredes sem levar em consideração que se trata de uma igreja histórica. Com relação ao patrimônio histórico merece 5 estrelas, mas o abandono merece zero.
The Church of the 15 Mysteries began to be built in 1829, in a neoclassical style. It is on the corner of Praça dos Quinze Mistérios, in the neighborhood of Santo Antônio.
In 1811, the confraternity of N. S. do Rosário dos Quinze Mysteries of Black Men was founded, which operated in the Santo Antônio Além do Carmo Headquarters until the construction of this chapel. In 1852, the brotherhood of N. S. da Soledade was founded, with headquarters in the chapel.
The Encounter Procession, promoted by the Parish of Santo Antônio Além do Carmo and by the 3rd Order of N. S. da Conceição do Boqueirão, begins with a field Mass, in front of the Church of the 15 Mysteries. Then the faithful go out in procession through the streets of the Santo Antônio neighborhood. The images of N. S. das Dores and Nosso Senhor dos Passos emerge, respectively, from the Church of Nossa Senhora do Boqueirão and the Church of the 15 Mysteries and are found in the Church of Santo Antônio.
My view of the church is one of abandonment. It seems that they put a layer of cement plaster on the walls without taking into account that it is a historic church. In terms of historical heritage, it deserves 5 stars, but abandonment deserves zero.
