★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel has done great job to keep everyone safe as far as Covid goes. The rooms are impeccably clean , housekeeping is available daily but guest can't stay in the room ( no big deal )
The restaurant offers amazing breakfast with cook to order omelets (delicious)
I love the room service of this hotel, it is so elegant ! You feel really special even if you order a burger.
Staff calls me by my name, this is by far my favorite hotel in Sao Paulo, looking forward to enjoy the city longer once Covid is over.
Kudos to all employees specially to Renata, Regina, Peter, Gabriel, Isabella, Sassi and team ! You are amazing !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall service was great. I arrived early and the hotel staff allowed me to check-in at 11 AM which was great since my flight was 10 hours! My only concern was the fact that the volume was adjusted on my TV to only play at half the volume. I later learned why when even at only half of the TV’s volume, there was a noise complaint by my neighbor. Other than that, the stay was great.

Rooms need to be updated. Got upgrade because of my status to suite, and definitely furniture is not on 5 star level. Signs of wear and tear, quite old and also very plain.
Overall is good experience, had breakfast is a room and it arrived quickly and well served. Price is very good.
But cocktails in bar, I ordered two mojitos and waited over 30 minutes to get them, they were almost without any alcohol, not prepared as should be, so disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every single person on staff went above and beyond during my stay. The COVID testing rules (for US return) changed during my staff and the staff was able to schedule my test and get the hospital to come to my room to administer the test. The African gentleman (cannot for the life of me remember his name!) who is a bartender even helped me with an unexpected call from a restaurant regarding a delivery issue. They printed and delivered my covid results to my room within 10 mins of me sending them. I cannot say enough good things about this property. It is the only place I'll stay in SaPo when I return. Thank you all!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expectations of staff at Intercontinental Hotels are rightly high. However, the staff in the Intercontinental São Paulo redefined those expectations. From check-in to check-out and at every step in between they were timely, pro-active, courteous, and professional in every detail. Recruitment and training of staff can not be under-rated - you don’t get this many exceptional people operating to consistently high standards by accident! All other hotels should take a look at this one and learn from them. Congratulations on 25 years of operating - it’s clear why you’ve been so successful for so long!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rooms have not been updated since the hotel was built. The furniture and carpet were dirty and stained from years of wear and neglect. Housekeeping can only do so much.
I would never stay at this hotel again.
This is my second experience with this chain of hotels and it will be my last

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was quite disappointed. COVID has not been kind to this place. Very suspect carpet which looks like it has been in another room for a long time - furniture indentations all over it, in places where no furniture could be placed in the current configuration of the room, and none too clean. I was expecting more. What is wrong with bare floors, people?
The food was also a bit disappointing, I specifically asked for rare beef and lamb and I got well done both times. The guacamole was also misjudged, a great big dish of it with only a couple of chips.
The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a good location. So I will probably (reluctantly) return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have stayed here as a work group for years, sometimes 2x a year. I absolutely didn’t recognize it this visit. My carpet was horribly stained and coming up in places, the comforter makes a crunching noise when touched, the phone was disconnected and therefore uncharged and I couldn’t reach any services , the TV is cable only, paint is chipped and peeling in hallways and rooms. We had six members of our group in rooms with twin beds- which was not on the reservation. After all of this, some got vouchers for one type of drink - which wasn’t suitable for all of our travelers’ preferences (we couldn’t even change for a beer, for example). This hotel needs a full renovation. We check out tomorrow and will not be returning.
