★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ambient is small and cozy. The food is somehow more expensive than I expected specially considered the prices. We went on a Wednesday which has better prices for the Misos but still wasn't fully satisfied. Wouldn't return but it's worth a try for the exquisite but expensive experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No-frills sushi place with a genuine and simple Japanese feel. Perfect Ramen and sushi. We had the chefs sashimi selection, it was fresh, abundant and diverse.
Service was kind, fast and clean.
Great experience overall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ate ramen here today. I was really excited because of the look and positive reviews but don’t be fooled. Service was pleasant, slightly slow but still decent. The ramen however was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Save yourself the money, which is fairly expensive for what it is, and get instant ramen instead.
To the restaurant: I would be willing to give it another try if things improved.
*I’m a professional food critic who has lived in Japan and the rest of East Asia for 10 years. I’ve reviewed hundreds of bowls of ramen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came for the okonomiyaki. Big portion with loads of prawns and bacon but all in all too salty and defo not something you'd enjoy just having arrived from Japan. Pretty decent if you haven't had okonomiyaki for a good while though. 55 reais for okonomiyaki and tea. One pays for the ambience I guess. The ramen can be had as part of a lunch special and looked very nice indeed. Haven't tried the broth though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got the tonkatsu, pork gyoza and Ramen along with ashai beer snd a glass of sake. Tonkatsu was slightly burnt. Also very thick. Tonkatsu should be pounded thinly. This way the coating will not get burnt before the meat is cooked. Tonkatsu was served with the sauce on the peices. This makes the coating soggy. The goyza was pretty good but had the mayonnaise on the gyoza. Some people like myself am not a fan of mayonnaise on my gyoza and prefer soy sauce. The Ramen broth was pretty good though it had a slight fishy taste to it. Not unpleasant but unexpected. The Ramen came out later than the other 2 dishes had been consumed. This made me wait around while my friend ate thier food. Annoying. Service was good. The first server, woman, was helpful in choosing the dishes and selecting the sake. The sake was delicious. Prices were fair. Given the limited places in rio that serve tonkatsu this place is worth checking out. BTW the location is upstairs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing! Awesome appetisers, fresh sushi beautifully presented, the finishing on the sashimi is absolutely divine, even the soja sauce is freshly made. Seriously, 10/10 would recommend. The first bite from the ramen brings you straight to walhalla or let’s say a Japanese heavenly experience. I saw a couple of bad reviews on here, that’s why I felt like writing one myself because whattt?? I mean it’s all you want, and about the service, I loved it. I found they showed excellent care, not pushing us around or making us consume more or anything, just attending in a polite, respectful and caring way. We had white wine with our dinner, nice bottle, well accompanied with the flavours of the fish and entries. I’d say for me it’s one of the absolute best sushi’s/ ramen I’ve ever had and believe me, I’ve been around. Hoping you will have a likewise amazing experience! I know I did ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is very Instagram-worthy, perfect for pictures, full of nice lights and Japanese items. The service is average, they did not let us seat at bigger table though restaurant was empty, and they ask for 12% fees. The food was slightly above average. Tasty, but not tight. When it needs to be crusty, it was squishy.
